SUMMARY

Hodsock Parish Council seek to employ a parish clerk and RFO working 12 hours a week (hybrid working), based at Langold Village Hall, Langold, Worksop, Nottingham.

Hodsock Parish Council are seeking an organised, motivated and efficient parish council clerk to join their team who will also under take the role of responsible financial officer (RFO), responsible for a budget of around £52,000.

This role is pivotal to the smooth operation of the council, providing essential administrative support and ensuring robust financial management. The successful candidate will work closely with council members, local organisations and residents to ensure the effective delivery of the services and initiatives.

Essential skills and qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar administrative and/or financial role.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Desirable skills and qualifications:

  • Accountancy qualification or qualification in local council administration.
