Corporate Peer Challenge
The Corporate Peer Challenge is free and a crucial improvement too, which is now available yearly to the largest parish and town councils.
We champion continuous improvement within the parish and town council sector and encourage parish and town councils to invest in training and learning opportunities for their councillors, clerks, and council staff members. We work with county associations and other organisations to offer online courses, peer reviews, and formal qualifications, all tailored to support your professional development.
We also manage the Improvement and Development Board, which we set up in 2013 with the Society of Local Council Clerks to oversee the sector's improvement and development initiatives strategy. It includes representatives from county associations, the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, and the Local Government Association.
