The National Association of Local Councils (NALC) announced the launch of its new website, which will go live on 7 October 2024. The new platform features an online resource library that provides further value to users.

The resource library is not just a collection of information but a comprehensive repository of sector-specific content. It includes articles, blogs, advice notes, publications, templates, and videos catering to a wide range of needs. This breadth of resources ensures that our website is the one-stop destination for valuable and practical information, making our users feel well-equipped and prepared for their tasks. The focus is not just on quantity but also on quality, providing users with actionable insights that address their specific challenges. Centralising our resources makes it easy for users to find relevant information in one place, enhancing their user experience.

The resource library will now feature adjustable filters that will allow users to narrow down or refine their results based on specific criteria or attributes. They can be by information type (such as advice notes, consultations and publications), audience (such as different committees), topics of interest (such as climate and environment, diversity and equality and information law) and by year.

For many users, the resource library is not just a place to find information but a powerful tool for professional development. By offering resources that enhance skills and provide insights, we are empowering our users with the tools they need to support communities nationwide.

Keeping our resource library updated regularly ensures that content remains relevant and engaging. It also means that our information is up-to-date with the latest legislation changes. We are active and invested in providing the latest information and resources.

One significant advantage of the resource library is search engine optimisation (SEO). Regularly updating the library with fresh content that includes relevant keywords can improve the website's search engine rankings, making it easier to find information, whether using the site search or a third-party search engine.

Parish and town councils, councillors, clerks and council staff can create an account from 7 October 2024 and gain access to exclusive member benefits.
