SUMMARY

Horwich Town Council is seeking to appoint a proactive individual to assist the town clerk and deputy town clerk with a range of diverse and interesting duties and projects. This is an exciting opportunity to join the council as assistant town clerk on an interim basis for 12 months followed by progression to the deputy town clerk role. The post holder will have responsibility for communication with the general public, community groups, service providers and with local authorities at all levels. They will be expected to be able to work on their own initiative, as well as part of a small, friendly, professional team. The successful applicant would be expected to have or be prepared to undertake the CILCA qualification.
