SUMMARY

Applications are invited for the chief officer/clerk/responsible financial officer post. The ideal candidate will be CILCA qualified or willing to obtain the qualification, with experience in management and a wide variety of skills. Experience and qualifications in local government are preferred but not essential, as training will be given to the right candidate. A good knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential. We seek a strong, dynamic, forward-thinking, professional person who thrives on a varied, challenging role and can drive the Council forward. 

Full-time position – 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week, although part-time will be considered. A flexible approach is needed, as some evening and occasional weekend work will be required. It is currently home-based, but this may change if the council obtains their premises. The role currently encompasses the RFO role, but this may also change if the council decides to separate the role.
