Parish and town councils can help improve the lives of millions of young people by providing access to space, services, and information. By highlighting how councils can support young people's development, we hope to increase awareness of the issues facing young people and bring about positive change for young people in our communities.

We are passionate and committed to supporting and celebrating young people and councillors. We recognise youth's vital role in shaping vibrant, resilient communities. We understand that young individuals bring fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and energetic engagement to the local governance, essential for addressing contemporary challenges and ensuring sustainable development. By actively involving and celebrating young councillors, we aim to foster inclusivity, enhance democratic representation, and inspire future generations to participate in local democracy. Our initiatives, such as the national network for young councillors, dedicated Young Councillor of the Year category in our Star Council Awards, targeted resources and training, and promoting the achievements of young leaders, reflect this commitment.
