DATE

WHERE
18 Smith Square, Westminster, London SW1P 3HZ
ABOUT
The Local Government Association (LGA) and National Association of Local Councils (NALC) are jointly hosting a national event on 16 May 2018 to launch a brand new guide on how principal authorities and town and parish councils can work more collaboratively together to best serve the needs of their communities.
The guide will set out a series of case studies and a best practice framework of key principles to enable better partnership working at a local level. It will utilise a range of national examples to inform its content and outline opportunities for principal and local councils to engage on how best services can be delivered and the voices of local people heard.
As well as a first opportunity to see the brand new guide, this event will also provide participants with a chance to:
- hear from specially chosen showcases outlining how authorities have benefitted from partnership working and the lessons they wish to share with their peers
- reflect and share best practice and challenges with principal and local council peers from across the country
